Forest Bathing+

This 2-3 hour immersion is a gentle introduction to Forest Bathing+ and its benefits.

Forest Bathing is best described as a slow, relaxing sensory journey designed to calm the body and mind.  The physical and mental health benefits of Forest Bathing have been scientifically proven. Benefits include reduced stress levels, stronger immune system response, and a stabilised cortisol cycle.

In the session we do not walk very far in distance, and there will be plenty of time to relax and soak in the atmosphere of the very special places we have selected.   You will be provided with a sequence of sensory exercises designed to calm the body and mind.  This includes being encouraged to breath deeply; Japanese research uncovered essential wood oils can boost our immune system.

A slow walk though woodland may not seem that exciting, but many of our participants say that the session has a profound and transformative effect on them; even those who are used to outdoor pursuits often report positive changes in their understanding of woodland and nature. Most people experience such a strong feeling of connection that they feel drawn to return after our events.

If you have ever wondered about the healing effects of Nature, our guides will share various ways in which nature, and in particular trees, help us relax.   We will also reveal the latest science on how natural settings positively impact the physiology of the body. You will return home with a few techniques to use when you need them.

We run Forest Bathing sessions all over the UK, including Newlands Corner near Guildford, an area of Ancient Woodland, with outstanding Yew Trees which provide a beautiful serene atmosphere.

“I love nature and try to get in it as often as possible but Forest Bathing took it to another level. I especially enjoyed hearing the cuckoo. Looking forward to joining you on another experience.”

“Really enjoyed experiencing the benefits of Forest Bathing with Gary and Olga, it was a wonderful session, so good to get out in nature and spend time slowing down and noticing. I loved the aromatherapy session especially. It was a good day to release emotions and process my grief some more. AyPee would have loved to have been here too with you and I'm sure he was with us.”

“Such a lovely experience! I'm so happy to have discovered this group. Gorgeous afternoon in the woods, where I learned lots of new things. I entered a deep relaxation that lasted all throughout the afternoon and evening. Thank you for your great work!”
