The wooded slopes on the western side of The Wye Valley are part of a belt of mainly ancient woodland and forest stretching down from the Ross on Wye in the north to Chepstow in the south.  It is designated AONB, internationally recognised for its rich wildlife habitats.  You might spot woodland birds such as the Woodpecker, Blackcap, Nuthatch, Long Tailed Tit, Pied Flycatcher and Waxwing.  The area is also home to numerous deer species, cute dormice and bats.

If you wish to extend your stay there is lots to see and do locally, including:

The Kymin – view point on the border of the Forest of Dean overlooking Monmouth towards the black mountains beyond.

Tintern Abbey –  is a national icon, founded in 1131 by Cistercian monks. The remains stand in roofless splendour on the banks of the River Wye nearly 500 years since its tragic fall from grace.

Private chef & Meals

We are extremely fortunate to have Tom as our group’s private chef during the training. All dietary requirements are personally discussed and managed according to guests’ wishes.

Healthy vegetarian and Vegan options are always available, as well as meat for those who would like it. Tom is an excellent and caring chef, and we always feel very spoiled and pampered during our stay.

Two meals included

Guests are asked to cater their breakfast using the kitchen included with the yurt or the shared dining space. Most people bring cereals or fruit and cold goods can be kept in the communal fridge.

Lunch and dinner are provided and usually consist of two thoughtful courses.

Costs

Accommodation and food cost £100 per day, and we recommend arriving the day before the course starts. Early arrival provides time for people to get to know each other and ask any questions of the tutors. We will enjoy a welcome dinner in the early evening, which will set us up for a relaxing morning when the course starts.

Spaces are limited!

Please get in touch with us as soon as possible if you would like to reserve a place.
