Join us on Saturday, the 23rd of August 2025, 11am-2pm at Leith Hill Place for ‘A morning of mindfulness with The Forest Bathing Institute’:
‘Forest Bathing translates from the Japanese Shinrin Yoku which means to bathe in the atmosphere of the woods. Scientific studies have shown how humans respond so positively from spending mindful time under the canopy of trees. Come to Leith Hill Place to chat with the experts from The Forest Bathing Institute, look at the book and maybe even experience a little bit of Forest bathing; we will have short taster sessions every ½ hr.’
There will be an opportunity to learn more about forest bathing practice form forest bathing experts and our co-founders Gary Evans and Olga Terebenina, as well as try forest bathing practice at a beautiful location at the heart of Surrey Hills.
When visiting Leith Hill Place, you can learn more about its rich history, take in breathtaking views opening up to Surrey Hills while enjoying traditional cream tea, or appreciate the beautiful nature photography from Dorking Camera Club and poems from Mole Valley Poets, inviting you to ‘step away from the busy-ness of the world and seek peace and beauty in this welcoming home nestled in the landscape’.
No need to book – feel free to just drop in. Entrance and parking charges at Leith Hill Place apply – find out more details at the National Trust website.
We hope to see you there!
