This week we finished four days of in-person Forest Bathing+ Guide Training in Surrey. We spent the first two days immersed in Winterfold – an ancient woodland with great biodiversity in the heart of Surrey Hills, and then moved to Newlands Corner in Guildford where we were surrounded by ancient (some thousands’ yearsWe are so grateful to our trainees for joining us!

We spent four days immersed in the forest environment, allowing time and space to connect with nature and also going deeper within ourselves. For the first two days, we were practicing some of the elements of forest bathing+ session, including mindful sensory exercises, and for the last two days, we were exploring how we can use different environments for our exercises, as well as planning a route for our demo session on the last day.
Throughout the training, we were practising to work with the environment and weather conditions on the day, as well as learning how to observe events’ participants and adjust the session to their needs.
Within four days, we experienced soft breeze and gentle warmth of autumn sun, but also heavy showers and even rainbow 🌈 there were moments of joy and childlike playfulness, but also times where we went deeper to contemplate on our unique journey of nature connection. It was a true privilege to share these special moments with our trainees! We wish them all the best in their journey connecting with nature, and looking forward to supporting them going forward on the training.
